Start with a connection

CamRelay’s initial version connects one Camera with one Monitor on compatible iPhones and iPads. The app interface is currently Simplified Chinese. Install the same app version on both devices, keep them foregrounded, enable Wi-Fi and allow local network access.

For the first connection, tap the other device. The tapped device displays a four-digit code; enter it on the device that initiated the connection. Choose complementary Camera and Monitor roles. Remembered devices verify identity on subsequent connections.

Know where your footage lives

The Camera owns the recordings. Wait for its save result. Saved captures are added to the Camera’s system Photos library when authorized; failed imports leave originals in Recovery Media (设置 → 照片与视频 → 恢复素材). The Monitor does not automatically receive originals. Keep the Camera foregrounded while recording. Internet access may be needed by Apple’s Photos services for iCloud-only originals.

Check the essentials

If discovery fails, check local network permission on both devices, Wi-Fi and network client isolation. If capture fails, check the Camera’s camera/microphone permissions, storage and system interruption. Photos adding permission is separate from gallery reading permission. Do not delete the app while it contains recovery recordings that have not been saved elsewhere.

Tell us what happened

Contact service@damnvisible.com with the app version/build, device models, system versions, which device was Camera, wireless conditions, steps and the actual error message. Send only information you choose to share. Reports and recordings are not uploaded automatically; remove private content from screenshots and attachments. Do not send passwords, pairing codes, Apple credentials or secret keys. No support response-time promise has been established.
